One Week Old

On Hagen's one week birthday he got the special surprise of being circumcised. Cole was very concerned as to why his "unit" looked the way it did and when I told him I was taking the baby to the doctor, he said; "Make sure that doctor fixes his weiny today". We did just that. I was a big whimp and left the room while they did the procedure, I could hear him crying a little but not too bad. I was surprised however at his measurements, he only weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces. He had been eating so well that I was sure he would have boosted back up to 6 pounds. The doctor wanted to see him in one week to check the circumcision and to weigh him again. At two weeks he weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces, we were excited to see a good weight gain. He is doing great.

Hagen still sleeps all day but doesn't sleep so well at night. He may be a touch spoiled, he just wants to sleep in my bed and cuddle me all night. He makes a lot of noise in his sleep what with all the grunting and groaning he does. I think I will have to move him to the crib to get any sleep myself.
