Trip to Oregon
Weston had a work meeting in Washington so we tagged along with him and stayed with John and Lacy Blake at their new place in Oregon. Hagen was a champ in the car, he slept the whole 7 hour. We only stopped twice to feed and change him. Once we got there it was a whole different story. I don't know what it was but his fussiness took on a whole new meaning. The first evening we were there he cried a lot, but with lots of bouncing, rocking and mylicon we survived. The second day was terrible, he screamed hard for over two hours. It broke my heart because he was obviously in pain, finally after a car ride he went to sleep but when he woke up 30 minutes later he was severely congested. Luckily the Blake's had a very comfortable recliner because that is where I spent the next to sleepless nights with poor Hagen. I didn't dare lay him down because he couldn't breathe, so I just held him for two nights. He seemed to improve a little the day we headed home and actually slept pretty much the whole way home. It was the weekend after his first set of shots so I am wondering if that had anything to do with it???
