This is How We do Summer

 The gated deck has been my best friend all summer, Hagen thinks he is outside without being able to escape.  I can get stuff done in the house or mow the lawn and he is content.  He has a slew of toys and a picnic table out there.  Kallie and Cole spend a fair amount of time hanging with him on the deck.  I don't have to worry about sunburns either.

 The discovery of olives! They went right onto his fingers and he loves them.  I don't love that they come out exactly as they went in!

 We do a whole lot of swimming around here in the summer.  The kids spend more time in their suits than not and Hagen is no exception.  He loves the water, but the sun bothers his eyes especially when we are swimming.  He usually doesn't last too long, but again he is pretty content to watch from the deck or the sandbox.
