Spring

Winter was kind to us this year and the snow melted fairly early.  At the end of March we made our trek to Blackfoot to buy some steers for our pasture.  This is a fun day for our little family since it requires a little work but isn't overwhelming and the kids can help.

To entertain the kids in the car, I brought a baggie of Easter candy and made them answer questions to earn a treat.  The kids were reading road signs and doing math problems, Hagen's questions were all colors which he answered "pink" to every one.  I guess we need to work on colors a bit. 

Once we got our calves home we had to brand a vaccinate them.  The kids were good help and Hagen was happy to sit on a bucket and watch the whole time since it only took a couple hours.  He had fun playing in the dirt with a stick and hollering at the cows.  It seems like 90% of the laughter in our family comes from him.  We all adore him so much and can't get enough of the cute funny things he says and does.  He is spoiled beyond repair and all four of us are to blame for it.
