Summer Evenings
Hagen's summer evening attire usually looks like this! Shorts with his boots because you have to wear your boots to the farm.
As soon as Weston gets home the boys meet him in the yard. They want the horse saddled up and they want to go to the farm. Hagen likes to ride in daddy's "pipup" to check pivots.
Both boys are getting pretty good on the horse. Cole has actually outgrown this horse. She is too slow for him now, but perfect for Hagen.
Weston found this little jeep on Craigslist. Thinking that the kids have so much fun on Grandma's that we should get our own. I guess we need to get blacktop too because apparently that is what makes it fun! Hagen spends more time under the hood than in the drivers seat!
This is Hagen's sad face because I wouldn't let him get out of the pickup with Cole and Dad this time. The potatoes are getting way too big for his tiny legs to meander through.
They brought him back a loot of tiny spuds though and with those in his little paw he was happy again.
Our evenings out to check pivots are sacred to me. This is the time when we trap our kids in the car and talk to them with no other distractions. We love to teach them about the farm and sing songs and laugh together. Hagen usually ends the evening batting his long eyelashes and asking in the sweetest voice if we can stop at "Bamma's" for just a tiny little treat! And of course how can we say no to that?
