Big Brother

Hagen was promoted to "big brother" on October 4, when Hayes decided to make his debut a month early.  Hagen was pretty excited about his new baby and was very gentle with him from the start.  After nearly two weeks of being shuffled between aunts and grandmas we brought the baby home and Hagen was happy to be back to normal.  I was really worried about how he would handle the baby but he did great.  He never acted jealous at all.  Everytime I would hold the baby he wanted to sit by us. 

 

Hagen came to see the baby a few times in the hospital and was very sweet each time.  He wasn't rowdy or crazy as usual but acted truley concerned.  I was very proud of him because he had every right to act out seeing as his world had been upended, but he was great. 

 

 

We finally got to bring the baby home and be together as a family again.  Hagen couldn't wait for his turn to hold the baby and once he got his hands on him, he had a hard time letting go and sharing.
